No More Art Updates.

  • Mood: Distressed
  • Listening to: Exit Clov—Communist BBQ
  • Reading: Color Of Water.
  • Watching: Ratatollie.
  • Playing: Super Mario Sunshine.
  • Eating: Candy.
  • Drinking: Ginger Ale.
Da.

Sorry, all. It's not like I've been updating a whole lot anyway, but I'm now even pulling every deviation I bothered to post. This is going to make some people sad, I know, but I'll still be here. maybe I'll actually bother to look at your stuff for once, eh?

Either my friend will help me make a website, or i'm going to start a blog. Either way, I'll end up posting my artses and writing there. When the blog/site thing gets going I'll definitely put up the link, so don't for get to check my page frequently. I'll probably post a journal about it, though.

As for my reason, my cousin recently convinced me that this is an unsafe site, seeing as how it doesn't actually protect people from copyright infringement. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but it freaked me out.

On another note, I'm home sick, second day in a row. Bleck.

Mom made me watch Eragon the other day 'cause it had Jon Malcovitch in it and I totally just spelled his name wrong. She says he really should have been Count Olaf in the Series of Unfortunate Events movie. I can't really vouch on that 'cause he was only in Eragon for about 30 seconds total, but I guess anyone's better than the same-old-same-old Jim Carry act. Seriously, he's funny, but can't he be anyone besides himself?!

Well, at least he looked the part.

Well, I liked Eragon, although I realized that, had I actually read the book, I would have hated it with a flaming passion. The dark sorcerer guy rocked. I am totally going to be a dark sorcerer when I grow up. *maniacal laughter*

Mom also made me watch Ratatollie, which I also definitely spelled wrong. It rocked! It really did. It was way more sophisticated than most Pixar kids movies. It was closer to a work of art, kinda like The Thief and the Cobbler, except no one and nothing can top The Thief and the Cobbler.

Anyway, watch it.

Bye.

i read eragon, it was awesome. the movie looked really low budget and lame though.

and seriously, dont take this the wrong way, but i really dont think people would want to steal your stuff.

its not a quality issue or a coolness issue, its that there are a million pieces of art that are great that anyone who wanted could copy. but none of them would profit from it in any large scale.

deviantart may not protect against copyright infringement, but that doesnt mean its a hotbed for people who just take ideas from other people.

that being said, can i help with the graphic design aspect of your website? ive been taking a class on it and would love to see how good i really am. if it turns out im no good then you dont have to feel obligated to use it.

The dragon was well-done though.

I'm not saying anyone necessarily will steal my stuff, it's just that I don't really want to post my stuff on a site where artwork (not necessarily mine) could potentially be stolen.

In short; I'm paranoid, no amount of arguing will change this, end of discussion.

:D

And sure, you can help with my website, although I did already promise Julia (~Kioth) she could do it. Maybe we can compromise?

i didn't say it did, but you said the movie looked low-budget and it really wasn't it's just that the main actors weren't so good, but Jeremy Irons (i think that's his name) was the ex-dragonrider dude who helps Eragon and he was really grood. :D

Layout sounds grood. I'll keep you updated on site progress. I'm comp-retarded so I need all the help i can get. :D

But he's a good actor. Kinda like John Leguizamo (whom I adore) or Sean Connery (whom I don't adore at all). They have a hard time finding films that really show off their talents.
